THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Credit Controller at VPS, you will play a pivotal role in managing our accounts receivable portfolio and ensuring timely payment from our customers. You will be responsible for assessing credit risk, monitoring outstanding invoices, and implementing strategies to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, drive process improvements, and optimize credit management practices. You will report to the Head of Finance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for meeting targets in monthly receivables and keeping bad debt to a minimum.
- High volume of communication with debtors.
- Liaise with sales Account Managers regarding overdue/disputed accounts.
- Review disputes on a weekly basis with escalation to account managers and directors as appropriate.
- Deal with accounts that have gone into liquidation including liaising with administrators.
- Assessment of credit worthiness of potential and existing customers including determining credit limits and payment terms.
- Report monthly to Finance Manager about the status from creditors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum degree MBO 4 or HBO level of work and thinking.
- Experience with Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) is required and experience in Credit Control systems beneficial.
- Our business language is fully English. So, English language must be at high level both written and spoken.
- Team player and comfortable in a multicultural and international environment.

- Must be organized, detail orientated and able to function effectively under pressure and produce detailed, error free work with unlimited timeframes.
